“Love’s Never Been Asked To Live Forever”: A play
I was commissioned by the Sloan Foundation to write a new play for BioAgenda, a biotech conference which took place Dec.5-7 in Palm Springs, CA.
I was especially excited to find out who my comrades would be in this process, Jill Eickenberry and Michael Tucker. They are excellent actors who many remember from their roles on the television show, “L.A. Law.”
The play is about a married couple who use biotechnology to pursue everlasting life in order to see if love lasts forever. Jill and Michael are married to one another so that adds an extra ingredient to the drama.
The entire theatrical event was supported by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which asks playwrights to tackle scientific themes in a dramatic way.
This new work: “Eternity: A play in 30 minutes” has been performed in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
If you’re interested in seeing it please let me know.
